MAREF are proud to announce we have been awarded Landlord of the Year at the 2020 Africa Property Investments Awards. This is in addition to the Best Commercial Building and Best Green Building that we won in 2019.
MAREF received the API Award for Landlord Of The Year, from the API (African Property Investments) Virtual Summit. We are the developer and landlord for the prestigious commercial buildings SU Tower & 335 Place in Accra Ghana and Omnicane Business Gateway in Mon Tresor Mauritius. MAREF competed against several landlords in Africa to receive this recognition.
The awards were established to recognise and promote excellence in Africa’s rising real estate sector, the API Awards, have become a critical benchmark for measuring success for the industry.
Who we are
An African commercial real estate development joint venture between Momentum Global Investment Management in London and Eris Property Group in South Africa. Both companies are fellow subsidiaries of Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Limited. What sets us apart?
MAREF currently has $400m (including debt funding) available for investment into new projects. The Fund has the mandate to invest across the entire sub-Saharan Africa ex SA region in commercial real estate which includes offices, retail and industrials. MAREF has a green focus and has committed to follow IFC’s EDGE principles on all projects.
